Video: Watch Horrific Moment Lion Kills Trainer During Live Show in Egypt (Video+Photos)

A lion has killed its trainer in broad daylight after it mauled at him while many people watched in Egypt.

Islam Shaheen was killed by the lion in broad daylight

A horrific Video incident in which a trainer was killed during live show by a Lion in Egypt has left many people in tears. 

The trainer identified as Islam Shaheen, 35, was filmed motioning at a lion with a stick as another climbed up a ladder during the performance in Alexandria, in the north of the country.

Out of the blues, a third lion rushed at him before biting him in the neck as people screamed for help. Other trainers tried to help Shaheen by poking the lion with sticks but it was already too late.

He was declared dead after being rushed to the Andalusian Salam hospital as a result of his injuries. His brother revealed that Shaheen had worked as a circus trainer for 10 years. 

The Al-Arabiya reported that Shaheen was caught by surprise by the lion. Mohammed Mustafa, the circus spokesman, said the attack happened as the lion was in the mating season and so behaving erratically.
