A challenge has been thrown to President Muhammadu Buhari to dress as a Fulani herdsman to present the 2017 budget.
Governor Ayodele Fayose
Ekiti
State Governor, Ayodele Fayose has dismissed criticisms after the
controverial manner he dressed while presenting his state's 2017 budget
yesterday at the Ekiti State House of Assembly.
The governor who wore military camouflages for the presentation asked people to forget about his dress and concentrate on his performance in office.
Reacting
on Facebook, Fayose's Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Lere
Olayinka asked those questioning the governor's dressing to go for
psychiatric examination. He added that if it suits President Muhammadu
Buhari, he can dress like a Fulani herdsman to present the country's
budget before the state assembly.
Lere stated: "If Buhari likes, let him dress like FULANI HERDSMEN to the National Assembly to present 2017 Budget, wetin be my own?
"All I'm interested in is for the Budget to translate to better living conditions for Nigerians."
He further added:
"If your concern is what a man wears to the office and not how well he
performs his duties in the office, I doubt if your head is correct!
"No
wonder you supported a Buhari, who left office in 1985 and did not gain
any academic, travel, business or even reading experience as president
and Nigeria is now in depression.
"Your case file is waiting for you at YABA LEFT and ARO in Abeokuta."
