Black Soot Found in Rivers State as Ministry of Environment Issues Press Release

The Rivers State Ministry of Environment has issued a statement concerning the Black Soot found in the atmosphere. 

 

The Rivers State Ministry of Environment has issued a statement concerning the Black Soot found in the atmosphere and on the floor in and around Port Harcourt and it's environs.

 

Soot includes the fine black particles, chiefly composed of carbon, produced by incomplete combustion of coal, oil, wood, or other fuels.

 

Soot can consist of acids, chemicals, metals, soils, and dust.
